G-Rex Sandbox (GaaS) Launcher

Alienautics introduces the new Game as a Service model from Reality Gameware. All software products under this service will get continuous updates. New content for games will be produced and distributed through existing application channels on a routine schedule. Reality Gameware software services are accessed through the G-Rex Sandbox interface. G-Rex Sandbox requires a player account to log in.

What is G-Rex Sandbox?

G-Rex Sandbox is an application & services manager for Reality Gameware products. The sandbox syncs player stats across platforms and manages the product patches and updates.

Why is a 3rd party login required to play the game?

Alienautics integrates Reality Gameware’s game as a service (GaaS) model to support the continuing development of the software. A valid email address is required to open a player account to access the services. The G-Rex Sandbox account keeps track of the game’s updates, DLCs and saved game files across different platforms (steam, epic, windows store). This authentication also provides a first level protection from piracy which has been the dominant factor in driving small indie studios out of the business. The only way to stay ahead of this crisis is to deliver updates faster than they are leaked. Through the G-Rex Sandbox services, legitimate players enjoy the instant and secure updates for free!

The goal of Alienautics is to develop a gameplay centric fun experience where the player is heavily empowered to make progress and get value for their time in return. All player progress is saved in the cloud and synced between devices (Xbox, pc). Players make progress on a universal profile that saves their data in the cloud server of Alienautics. This profile is accessible through the website interface.The game ships with a custom launcher that lets the player sign up and login to the game world. Below are the step by step guide to the Reality Gameware launcher.

1. Player Registration

Players can register an account directly through the launcher. A valid email is required to confirm the sign up email.

2. Player Login

Players can login with their username/password into the launcher. Once authorized, the launcher checks for updates and lets the player access the game executable and content.

3. Player Account

Players can login to the online account to check their game stats. The account is updated through the game and can also be accessed by the web interface at the website.

4. Update Cycle

Updates are published frequently for the game build. Players can check the update cycle from the launcher. This closed loop development cycle of play-feedback-update keeps things transparent to the audience.
